STARTS SATURDAY, APRIL 19th!!!!!!
Open to all SDAPA members.
Locally, participants are not required to participate on a standard
APA team, however, in order to be eligible to participate in the annual APA
Masters Championship, participants for that event must be active on a
Summer Session standard APA 8-Ball or 9-Ball roster and have a minimum of
ten standard APA 8-Ball or 9-Ball matches played (the 10 scores cannot be a
combination of both).
Masters League Format : Combination of 8-Ball and
9-Ball.
Rosters consist of a minimum
of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players. No handicap limit!
Three players will play in a
team match.
Each individual match will
be a race to 7 and will include 8 games of 9-Ball and 5 games of 8-Ball.
Players will earn 1 point for each game won. A team can earn a maximum
of 21 points per night.
The winner of the lag will
have choice of game (8-Ball or 9-Ball) or the break. Once a format has been
chosen, the entire set of that format must be completed before moving on to
the next format.
Masters 9-Ball: The player
has won the game when he has legally pocketed the 9-Ball without scratching.
The push out is allowed
after the break during games of 9-Ball.
Coaching is not allowed.
Jump cues: The use of jump
cues is allowed in Masters Division play, however "House Rules"
may prohibit their use and/or the performance of masse or jump shots.
15 points are awarded to a
team receiving a bye.
An individual player match
forfeit is worth 5
points.
Flexible 5pm Saturday
schedule! Sessions will run approximately 20-25 weeks with several Saturdays
scheduled off. This frees some Saturdays up for other activities and
provides several opportunities for teams to do make-up matches if they need to miss a regularly
scheduled match.
$30/team/week. Cash payouts
to all teams at the end of each session. Payout amounts are based on the
team's placement at the end of the session, the number of teams in the
division and the number of weeks in the session.
