Summer 2008 Playoffs

Below you will find the complete playoff schedule for each division for the 2008 Summer Session. Each team captain is responsible for informing all teammates of where the team will play in the playoffs. All playoff matches take place on regular league night at regular league time (See the SDAPA Bylaws and the Official APA Team Manual for more information about playoffs.).

The Team Listed First Is The Home Team

MVP points are determined by adding up the skill levels of the players one has defeated and then subtracting one point for each loss. In each division, there will be an MVP for 3 different skill level tiers (2-3, 4-5 and 6-7 in 8-Ball and 1-3, 4-5 and 6-9 in 9-Ball). Ties will be broken by determining which player won the most number of matches for his or her team. If there is still a tie, each player will earn the MVP award. If a player moves up in skill placing them in a higher tier, but has never won a match at the higher skill level, that player will be deemed a member of the lower skill level tier for purposes of determining the MVP. If a player moves down in skill placing them in a lower tier, but has won a match at a higher skill level during the session, that player will be deemed a member of the higher skill level tier for purposes of determining the MVP. Session MVP's receive a trophy, an MVP patch and $30 in APA Singles Program Qualifier Tournament vouchers which can be collected at the Session-ending BLAST Tournament.
